Terms of Service

By creating an account or using VelaiSearch you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. If you use it for an organisation, you confirm you may bind that organisation.

You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding contract under Indian law.

• Give accurate information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for everything done through your account.
• Keep your password secret and tell us at once if you think someone else has used your account. You can sign devices out in Settings.
• One person, one account. Do not create accounts to get around limits, bans or plan allowances.
• Accounts are either for candidates or for recruiters. Use the one that matches what you are doing.

VelaiSearch lets candidates build profiles and resumes, find jobs and apply, and lets recruiters post jobs and review applicants. We also provide AI-assisted tools and show listings collected from other job sources.

We are an intermediary. We are not an employer or recruitment agency, we do not guarantee any interview, offer or hire, and we are not a party to any employment arrangement between a candidate and a recruiter.

We may change, add or remove features. We will try to give notice of changes that significantly reduce what a paid plan includes.

You agree not to:

• post false, misleading or fraudulent profiles, resumes, jobs or messages, or impersonate any person or company;
• post jobs that are not genuine, that ask candidates to pay money to apply, be interviewed or start work, or that are illegal or discriminatory;
• harass, threaten or spam anyone, or use messaging for anything other than the hiring conversation;
• upload malware, or content that infringes others' rights or is unlawful;
• scrape, copy or bulk-download the service, or use bots or automated means other than the features we provide (such as Autopilot);
• probe, overload, bypass or attack our security, rate limits, credit limits or access controls;
• resell the service or use its data to build a competing job database.

To report a job or a person, write to [email protected]. We may remove content and act on accounts that break these rules.

• You are responsible for the accuracy of your profile, resume and applications. Do not claim experience or qualifications you do not have.
• When you apply, you choose to share your application with that job's recruiter, as described in the Privacy Policy.
• Match scores are guidance based on your profile. They are not a promise of suitability or of any outcome.
• Never pay anyone to get a job through VelaiSearch. If you are asked to, tell us.

• Post only genuine, current, lawful vacancies you are authorised to fill, with accurate details. Do not discriminate on grounds the law protects.
• Applicant data you receive is to be used only to assess, contact and hire for that role. Keep it secure, do not sell or share it, and delete it when you no longer need it. You are responsible for how you handle it under applicable data protection law.
• Contact candidates only about hiring. Do not use applicant data for marketing.
• We may verify your company and may suspend postings that look misleading.
• AI candidate briefs and match scores support your review. The decision to shortlist, reject or hire is yours alone.

• AI output (resume suggestions, cover letters, coach replies, interview practice, candidate briefs) is generated automatically and may be inaccurate, incomplete or unsuitable. Review and edit it. You are responsible for what you send or publish.
• AI features use credits that renew monthly according to your plan, have no cash value, do not roll over, and cannot be transferred. We refund credits when a request fails on our side.
• We may limit AI use per person or overall to keep the service available and prevent abuse.
• Text you submit to an AI feature is processed by third-party AI providers as described in the Privacy Policy. Do not submit sensitive personal information.

Autopilot finds jobs posted on VelaiSearch that match rules you set. In Review mode it only suggests jobs. If you are on a plan that includes it and you turn on “Send for me”, you authorise us to submit applications in your name, with your chosen resume (and a cover letter if you enabled one), to jobs that match your rules, up to the daily limit you set.

• You stay responsible for those applications. Check your rules, and turn Autopilot off any time.
• Recruiters can see that an application came from Autopilot.
• You can withdraw an application from the Autopilot activity list until the recruiter has responded to it.
• Autopilot works only on jobs posted directly on VelaiSearch.

We show listings collected from third-party job sources. We do not post, verify or control them, and we give no assurance about them. Pressing Apply on such a listing takes you to another site with its own terms and privacy practices. Be careful with any request for money or sensitive documents, and tell us about suspicious listings.

• VelaiSearch has a Free plan and a paid Pro plan. What each includes is shown on the Plans and Pro pages.
• Pro is prepaid for one billing period at the price shown in Indian rupees. If taxes apply, they are shown before you pay. It does not renew automatically; to continue, you buy it again. Buying the same plan before it ends adds the new period after the current one. Choosing a different plan starts a new period from the day you pay.
• Payments are processed by a third-party payment provider. We do not see or store your card, UPI or bank details.
• When a paid period ends your account returns to the Free plan. Your data stays, but paid-only features and allowances stop.
• For any billing question, contact us with your invoice number.
• We may change prices and plan contents for future purchases. A change never affects a period you have already paid for.

• You own the content you provide (profile, resumes, messages, job postings). You give us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, process, display and transmit it as needed to run the service for you: for example showing your application to the recruiter you apply to, and running the AI features you ask for. This ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies others already received.
• VelaiSearch, its software, design, templates, text and brand belong to us or our licensors. You may use them only as the service allows. You may download resumes you create for your own job applications.
• If you send us feedback, we may use it without obligation to you.

You can stop using VelaiSearch and delete your account in Settings at any time. We may suspend or end access, remove content, or refuse service if you break these terms, put others or the platform at risk, or the law requires it. Where reasonable we will tell you why. Sections that by nature should continue (such as liability, governing law and content licences for copies already shared) survive ending.

• The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any job listing, profile, AI output or match is accurate or suitable.
• We are not responsible for the conduct of recruiters, candidates or third-party sites, or for hiring decisions.
• To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of income, opportunity, data or goodwill.
• To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and ₹1,000.
• Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or any right you have as a consumer that cannot be waived.
• You agree to compensate us for losses caused by your breach of these terms or unlawful use of the service, to the extent the law allows.

These terms are governed by the laws of India. If you have a concern, please write to us first (see below) so we can try to resolve it. If that does not work, the courts in India with jurisdiction over our registered office will have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory rights you have.

• Changes. We may update these terms. For material changes we will tell you in the product or by email in advance. Continuing to use VelaiSearch after they take effect means you accept them.
• Notices. We may notify you by email or in the product. You can write to us at [email protected].
• The rest. If a part of these terms is unenforceable the rest still applies. Not enforcing a term is not a waiver. You may not transfer your rights under these terms; we may transfer ours to a successor. These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us about the service.
